E Lynn, WV (June 2, 2025) – One person is dead, and several others were injured after a head-on collision in the area of East Lynn on Saturday, May 31. The deadly crash took place in Wayne County on WV-37 late that night at around 5:30 p.m. Local reports revealed that a driver was traveling west on the highway when she crossed the center line into oncoming traffic. 

Emergency crews were later dispatched to the scene to provide aid to the involved parties. The driver, later identified as 29-year-old Chelsea Aldridge from Proctorville, OH, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by attending medical personnel. Several others were hospitalized as a result of the crash. The area was temporarily closed as local law enforcement officials were present. No further information on the deadly crash is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the incident is being investigated.
