Chesapeake, WV (June 27, 2025) – There were confirmed injuries in the aftermath of a collision in the Chesapeake area on Thursday, June 26. The accident was first reported early that evening at around 9 p.m. on Interstate 77 near mile marker 85.5. All northbound lanes were closed as a result of the incident.
At least one person at the scene was injured, and the injured parties were treated by attending medical personnel. The circumstances leading to the crash have not yet been determined. The crash victims were later transferred to local hospitals for further treatment. The number of injured parties has not been confirmed at this time. The area was temporarily closed while emergency crews were present, and tow trucks were needed to clear the site of the resulting debris and reopen the road to outside traffic.
