Fatal Motorcycle Crashes in West Virginia
For many people in West Virginia, riding a motorbike is a fantastic hobby. Nothing compares to the thrill of speeding down an open road while riding a motorcycle. There are concerns, though, as riders are far more vulnerable to traffic hazards. In 2022, there were 41 motorcycle crash fatalities in West Virginia, a 41 percent increase from the previous year. Alcohol was a contributing factor in over one-third of motorcycle fatalities. Motorcyclists are 28 times more likely to die in a collision than drivers.
