St Albans, WV (May 23, 2025) – At least one person was hurt after a car wreck in the Saint Albans area on Thursday, May 22. The collision occurred that afternoon at around 3:41 p.m. at the crossing of Alameda Street and MacCorkle Avenue. The victim was on foot when they were struck by an oncoming motor vehicle.
There were confirmed injuries at the scene, but the number and severity of the related damages have not been confirmed. The injured party was treated by attending medical personnel and later hospitalized by ambulance. No updates on the conditions of the injured pedestrian have been provided. The area was temporarily closed while emergency crews worked to clear the scene. Emergency crews were needed to reopen the roadway to outside traffic. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is in the hands of local law enforcement officials.
