Southside, WV (May 21, 2025) – On Tuesday, May 20, there were reported injuries following a multi-vehicle accident in the Southside area. The crash occurred late that night at around 6:30 p.m. on Interstate 35 near Jeffers Ridge Road at mile-marker 2.59. Three tractor-trailers reportedly were involved in the crash. One of the commercial trucks overturned, causing the accident. The area was temporarily closed for several hours while emergency crews were present. 

At least one person involved in the crash sustained injuries. At this time, the severity and number of the resulting injuries have not been determined. Emergency crews were dispatched to provide aid to the involved parties. Those requiring further treatment were later hospitalized by ambulance. The circumstances leading to the collision have not yet been determined. No updates on the conditions of the crash victims are currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is in the hands of local law enforcement officials, and more information will be provided as it continues.
