South Charleston, WV (July 4, 2025) – At least one person suffered injuries in the aftermath of an auto-pedestrian crash in the South Charleston area on Thursday, July 3. The crash occurred at the 610 block of Chestnut Street that afternoon at around 1:27 p.m. The victim was traveling on foot when they were hit by an oncoming motor vehicle.
Emergency responders were quickly dispatched to the scene to render aid to the involved parties. Ambulances were available to transport the injured parties to local hospitals for additional treatment. At this time, the severity and number of the resulting injuries have not been determined. The area was temporarily closed while emergency crews were present. No updates on the conditions of the involved parties have been provided. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is being handled by local law enforcement officials.
