Nitro, WV (April 12, 2025) – On Thursday, April 10, there were confirmed injuries following a car crash in the Nitro area. The accident occurred at the crossing of Old County Road and First Avenue S. early that afternoon at around 12:54 p.m. The victim was traveling on foot when they were hit by an oncoming motor vehicle.
At least one person involved in the crash was hurt, but the extent and number of the resulting damages have not been determined. Emergency responders were quickly dispatched to render aid to the involved parties. The crash victims were later transferred to local hospitals for further treatment. The area was temporarily closed while emergency crews were present.
