Nitro, WV (May 22, 2025) – At least one person suffered injuries in the aftermath of a serious car wreck in Nitro on Tuesday, May 20. At around 5:58 p.m., emergency responders were dispatched to the scene at the 46 block of Interstate 64 WB. The number and severity of the resulting injuries have not yet been determined.
The injured parties were treated at the scene before being transferred to local hospitals by ambulance. At this time, the circumstances leading to the collision have not been provided. The area was temporarily closed while emergency crews worked the scene. Tow trucks were needed to remove the resulting debris and reopen the area to outside traffic.
