Morgantown, WV (May 31, 2025) – On Thursday, May 29, a motorcyclist was hurt after a collision in the Morgantown area. The accident took place at the intersection of Mileground Road and Hartman Run Road. Local reports indicated that a Nissan Xterra and a Yamaha Cruiser motorcycle collided at the scene.
It was later revealed that the driver of the Nissan attempted to make a left turn onto Hartman Run Road as the motorcyclist was traveling on Mileground Road. The two vehicles collided, causing the rider to be ejected from the bike and onto the roadway. Emergency crews were quickly dispatched to provide aid to the involved parties. The male motorcyclist was transported to Ruby Memorial Hospital for the treatment of life-threatening injuries. The area was temporarily closed while local officials were present. No further information on the crash is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the incident is in progress.
