West Virginia Pedestrian Accidents

Charleston, WV - Pedestrian Hit, Hurt in Collision on MacCorkle AvePedestrians are some of the most vulnerable roadway travelers. Even though it can be a wonderful way to get around, walking is far from safe, especially if you’re sharing the road with a motor vehicle. West Virginia traffic accidents claimed the lives of 21 pedestrians in 2022. This proportion was about eight percent of all traffic deaths in the state that year. This figure was even higher in 2021, with 36 reported pedestrian deaths contributing to 12.8 percent of all traffic deaths. Unfortunately, in West Virginia, many fatal accidents involving pedestrians happened at night or when there wasn’t much light, on highways, irrespective of the weather conditions and the road type, at non-intersections, and on straight, level roads right outside of towns.

If you or a loved one is injured as a pedestrian, consult a diligent legal team to get the most out of your case. You can pursue compensation for lost wages, medical bills, and more.
