West Virginia Distracted Driving Crashes

Charleston, WV - Corridor G & Hickory Rd Crash Ends in InjuriesOne of the main reasons why people get into car crashes in West Virginia is that drivers are often distracted. The most recent crash data in the state shows that a big chunk of all recorded crashes are caused by drivers who are not paying attention. A new study found that driving while drunk can be just as dangerous as driving while distracted. However, people view driving while drunk as significantly more dangerous than driving while distracted. About 3,000 people die every year in the United States because they were driving while distracted. Hundreds of thousands more are badly hurt.
